Why Is Reading Important?
Children can absorb tens of thousands of words with their minds during the first few years of their lives. Concepts and meaning may not be fully understood, but remembering pronunciations and word recognition is easily achievable by young children.
In the Sparkidz English Reading programme, your child is exposed to thousands of words by theme. Your child will also be engaged in conversation about the themed words to help them understand the meaning of those words. In this English Reading programme, your child will also learn to read sentences fluently using a reading series. This reading series has new vocabulary on every page that takes the child step by step in the reading process.
The English Reading programme uses various methods including flashcards, picture cards, worksheets and storybooks. The teachers give one-to-one attention to each child, ensuring that every word is understood and recognised. With such close attention and monitoring, your child is sure to progress in each English reading class.
